Hannah Lux – Austria
I have always known that a job for me would have to be more than just making money: I want to change the world and I want to help those that are in need of support.
I strongly believe in the potential of Social Entrepreneurship helping to solve the most pressing social and ecological issues of our time. And I also believe that there is a lot of talent out there amongst young people that is just waiting to be released and developed.
By founding an NGO that is supporting female victims of human trafficking I came one step closer to my goal and winning the Social Impact Award 2011 was an important acknowledgement proving me that I am on the right track.
The Social Impact Award really helped me to discover what I want to do with my life and who I am and I am very happy to, now as part of the Social Impact Award team, support others to do exactly the same!
Lucie Frisova – Czech Republic
I am a trainer and facilitator on the loose. In January of 2012, I became part of the team HUB Praha as co-HUB host. Before HUB Prague and SIA, I worked for many years in international youth organization Young Nature Friends International (IYNF). I am still an active trainer in youth work and informal education in general – I cooperate with the European Youth Forum as a trainer and facilitator, CNA Youth in Action as a trainer and coach in the IYNF Trainers Network and many others.
Juraj Kovac – Slovakia
Founder of Rozbehni sa! and Najlepsi napad, slovak based initiatives supporting young people to start-up from scratch.
Author of e-book “11 steps how to start-up yourself.”
Finding out how to be useful.
Cezar Neaga – SIA Europe & Romania
I coordinate the European growth of the Social Impact Award towards a 2015 vision of ten countries bringing social entrepreneurship education and support to students willing to make this incredible leap. I support existing countries in their operations and establish connections to new countries that wish to run the program. I worked in technology in Sri Lanka, Romania, US and Austria for more than 10 years. I worked in a poverty research institute. I like to capture life in photography and escape it in fiction writing. Love all sports that include a board. I’m decent in a couple of them.
Peter Vandor – Founder
I work as researcher and lecturer at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the WU Wien. In 2008, I founded the Social Impact Award. When I am not thinking how to improve the award’s educational curriculum, I teach and research on topics such as migrant entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, crowdsourcing and user innovation. Occasionally, I may also invite you to a gig of his rock band, so don’t be scared. My prior work experience includes positions in the venture capital industry, non-profit sector and working at a Hungarian bank.
