Everybody can win participating in the Social Impact Award as it offers support and opportunities to all participants!

The workshop series that takes place during the weeks before submission deadline helps you to find an idea and shape your project or improve your project. The participation in the events is free of charge and open to all persons interested. Furthermore, the workshops offer the opportunity to connect to other participants with great ideas, network and share experiences. You can also feedback your project idea with experts and develop it further. Additionally a number of submitted projects has the possibility to be represented on the website www.socialimpactaward.net and consequently raise awareness and inspire others.

In each country the best projects will be awarded

The evaluation phase takes place in each country and consists out of different stages. After deadline of submission the pre-screening takes place, which leads to a selection of the best projects. After personal interviews the best projects are forwarded to the Country Expert Jury of each country (Country Jury Austria, Country Jury Czech Republic, Country Jury Romania, Country Jury Slovakia). The local country jury, comprised of experts in the NGO field, social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and academia, select the best project ideas. These projects are awarded monetary prizes that support the project teams in their development and the development of their project ideas.

Social Impact Award Stipends

The Social Impact Award Stipends enable the teams of the four most convincing applications to dedicate their time during the summer months 2012 preferentially to their projects. Like this they can initiate further development of their projects in the very critical start-up phase by developing business models and business plans and finding resources and contacts to other social entrepreneurs.
A Social Impact Award Stipend comprises € 2,000 – 4,000 and an Unlimited Summer Membership for one person in one of the HUBs involved (during the summer months July – September, apportionable into smaller memberships), as well as professional support by each community. Like this we want to provide you the perfect environment to let your project idea grow and lead it towards implementation.

Community Awards

Not only the jury awards some projects, but also the community!

These prizes are awarded by an online voting on www.socialimpactaward.net. Those projects that are among the finalists of each country qualify for the voting. On the 22nd of April 2013 the online voting starts and allows all interested persons to evaluate the best project ideas based on short videos presenting each project. Everybody is allowed to vote and has one vote.
The Community Awards are awarded to the highest rated project of each country and for the first time they are equal in value to the jury selected winners. Further, support that should help you and your project to grow and become a changemaker is also available to the community award winners.
