Every student can win participating in the Social Impact Award as it offers support and opportunities to all participants! The participation in the events is free of charge and open to all persons interested. Furthermore, the workshops offer the opportunity to connect to other participants with great ideas, network and share experiences. You can also feedback your project idea with experts and develop it further.

We will select the best ten projects from all submissions as finalists. The finalist project ideas will be sent to the jury and promoted to the community by way of a short video presentation.

Following Jury evaluation the best two projects will be awarded 2000€ each and get non-monetary prizes as follows:

• one team member attends the Vision Workshop in Vienna in June 2013 (transport & accommodation covered)
• one team member receives a HUB Unlimited membership for 3 month at The HUB Bucharest (during the summer months July – September)
• one team member attends the Community Meeting in Vienna in October 2013 (transport & accommodation covered)

Community Award

Not only the jury awards some projects, but also the community!

The community prize of 2000 € is awarded by online voting on www.socialimpactaward.ro. On the 22nd of April 2013 the online voting starts and allows all interested persons to evaluate the best project ideas based on short videos presenting each project. Everybody is allowed to vote and has one vote. The winning project will also get the non-monetary prizes the jury winners have.

The prizes enable the teams to dedicate their time during the summer months 2013 preferentially to their projects. Like this they can initiate further development of their projects in the very critical start-up phase by developing business models and business plans and finding resources and contacts to other social entrepreneurs.
