Apply for Support

Our incubation provides you with all the resources and support needed to transform your idea into a successful venture.

As we only have limited spots available, we ask all of those interested to submit an application. This allows our expert jury to select the most promising ideas based on impact potential, degree of innovation, feasibility, and team capacity. Successful applicants have access to a wide range of opportunities including the following:

  • Mentorship and support in validating your business and impact models, prototyping your idea, creating first followers and customers.
  • A chance to win the Social Impact Award which includes funding, recognition and a ticket to our annual SIA Summit.
  • Connection with our international alumni community made up of over 1000 social entrepreneurs from more than 25 countries.

Social Impact Award has not only strengthened our team and our business model, it has also supported us with fundamental know-how and expertise to take our start-up to the next level.

Selection Process

Applications go through a comprehensive selection process to ensure the ideas with the most potential participate in the incubation.

  1. Eligibility Check
Our local SIA team reviews the applications to make sure they fit the formal eligibility criteria.
  2. Jury Selection
Our jury made up of experts from the private, public and plural sector assesses the applications based on our evaluation criteria.
  3. Finalists Announcement
Our local team announces the finalists that will get to attend the incubation at a dedicated event.
  4. Application Feedback
Our team provides all applicants (not just finalists) with the opportunity to receive feedback on their application.

Who Can Apply

  1. To ensure we maintain the focus of our offerings on youth, all members of the core applicant team must be born between January 1st, 1992 and December 31st, 2008. This corresponds to the European Union’s definition of youth as being between 14 and 30 years of age.
  2. We welcome both ideas that have not yet been implemented and ideas in the early phase of implementation. However, ideas in early implementation can only be submitted if the project was founded after January 1, 2021.
  3. Applicant projects must not have received significant formal start-up funding by the time their application is submitted. This is defined as formal grants from external sources that exceed a certain value (e.g. angel investment, grants, prize money, etc.). The exact value depends on the country (see details on your country’s application platform).
  4. The applicant must not have participated in the SIA incubation with the same idea they applied with nor have won the Social Impact Award in previous years.

Applications are closed until March 2023. Sign up to our newsletter to be notified when applications reopen.
