Scaling Model

Our innovative licensing model allows for global reach and local impact. This structure has allowed us to reach more than 25 countries since 2009.

  • Global Community
30.000+ Social innovators that built their venture with SIA since the launch of the incubation in 2015
  • Ecosystem Building
1.000+ Organizations that have partnered with SIA globally since 2009
  • International Reach
18 Countries that hosted last year’s edition of SIA

Our Approach

  • Localized

SIA’s tried and tested licensing model has allowed us to reach youth in over 25 countries with a program deeply rooted in local realities. SIA works with locally established organizations who “host” our program in their country, and provides them with our tried-and-tested program design and our set of tailor-made services for successful implementation.

  • Collaborative

Our licensees are called “hosts”. Our hosts are much more to us than contractual licensing partners, but rather collaborators for impact that share our values and our mission.

  • Time-tested

SIA has been using this model since 2012 as it allows us to combine both a global and a local approach. By setting clear and consistent standards with all our licensees, we are able to maintain global alignment and provide our hosts with centralized services at low costs.

We organize a variety of community gatherings throughout the year, allowing all hosts to truly connect, learn from each other, and co-create the future of the program.

  • Impact Assessment

We provide hosts with three types of surveys each year, allowing them to gain feedback from their participants and distill key impact data for internal and external communications.

  • IT Infrastructure

We provide hosts with a holistic IT architecture to run an effective program and keep track of key data, including a dedicated website, platforms for incubation as well as application & assessment, and more.

  • Partnership Support

We support national partnership development through a host of different offerings which include generic fundraising templates, guidance on fundraising procedures, support calls, and more.

  • Program Design

We provide hosts with a fully designed program, tried and tested over more than 10 years, which includes templates, IT solutions, and training for your facilitators and program managers.

  • Team Hosting

We offer each SIA team member dedicated support on an instant basis, either through ongoing messaging and calls, or through our internal knowledge platform, the SIA Playbook.

Host Responsibilities

  • Implementation

Our hosts organize the delivery of the program in their country. Hosts adapt the program according to local realities all while considering and respecting international standards.

  • Partnership Development

Our hosts secure the funding necessary to run the SIA program, with the help of SIA International’s partnerships team. They also establish a strong stakeholder network (ie. universities, experts, mentors, etc.) that supports the implementation.

  • Representation

Our hosts represent SIA in their national ecosystem, and uphold the SIA brand identity.
