Social Impact Award Youth Council // Alumni Opportunity

Youth Council

The SIA Youth Council is a global advisory body acting as a bridge between youth and SIA’s leadership. It provides strategic input and advice on key elements of SIA to ensure it continues to meet the needs of young social entrepreneurs worldwide.

Youth Council members bring forward insights and trends from their communities, represent the voice of youth, and inspire others to get involved. By working collaboratively, the Youth Council plays a crucial role in ensuring SIA’s program remains impactful, inclusive, and relevant in empowering the next generation of active citizens and social innovators.

How It Works

The Youth Council consists of 10 elected representatives from the SIA Alumni community who provide systematic advisory and consultation, offering feedback on key areas such as program design, network, and strategy. Council members bring forward insights and trends, and inspire alumni engagement.

Additionally, two elected representatives from the Youth Council advocate for youth interests on the SIA Steering Board, SIAs highest decision-making body. The SIA Youth Council meets at least twice a year and is facilitated by a SIA International team member.
