The Growing Youth Potential (GYP) project promotes and opens doors to the world of entrepreneurship and innovation for young people. The project was funded under the Erasmus+ program by the European Union and successfully implemented throughout 2023 in five countries in Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, and Romania. Its aim is to shape a comprehensive program for young people to teach entrepreneurial skills and develop entrepreneurial ideas. It has been specially designed for those that do not have access to entrepreneurial education, such as those forming part of the NEET group (young individuals not in education, employment nor training).
A dedicated format supporting BiPoC founders
In Austria, we worked with 18 youth with migration backgrounds and those coming from BIPOC communities. Their entrepreneurial journey started with a kick-off event during which they explored personal values, strengths, and brainstormed innovative solutions to societal challenges. Throughout the program, our participants showcased over 15 innovative ideas, some of them even forming new teams. They addressed key issues, like employment for women migrants, after going through a series of skill-building workshops and mentoring sessions with mentors from our community. These experts included SIA Alumna Alexandra Kick from Thinkubator.earth, Igor Luketina from Cosmotaics, and long-term SIA coach Pia Frizberg.

The Growing Youth Potential project is an exceptional initiative, empowering young individuals and opening doors to the entrepreneurial world. Its goal is not only to educate young people, but also to create a supportive environment where their entrepreneurial ideas can thrive. For this purpose, a dedicated GYP platform was built to support our local implementation. Take a look at our comprehensive guidelines, Train-the-Trainer manuals, and training slides.
Through the Erasmus+ program, the European Union aims to strengthen young people and enable the realization of their full potential. The Growing Youth Potential project connects, educates, and encourages young people on their path to fulfilling their dreams. The future is theirs, and we stand by their side. The “Growing Youth Potential” project was implemented within the Erasmus+ KA2 program, financed by the European Union.
